By

1st Station: Jesus is condemned to Death

We adore Thee, O Christ and we praise Thee, Because by Thy Holy Cross, Thou hast redeemed the world.

Jesus is condemned to death, that we may enjoy eternal life. “ Crucify Him! His blood be upon us and upon our children!” the mob cries, while we pray, “Blood of Jesus be our redemption.”

(Reflect) Our Father. Hail Mary. Glory Be.

O Jesus, who for love of me, didst bear thy cross to Calvary; in thy sweet mercy grant
to me, to suffer and to die with thee.

We adore Thee, O Christ and we praise Thee, Because by Thy Holy Cross, Thou hast redeemed the world.

The eyes of Jesus meet the eyes of Mary. He sees her sorrowful face bathed in tears. She sees Him all covered with spittle and blood. Such is their martyrdom for us.

Simon of Cyrene is forced to help Jesus carry His cross. How pained is the sensitive heart of Jesus that all now refused, despite his kindness and miracles. Help others to carry their crosses for the sake of Christ, and He will help to carry yours.

Veronica braved the fury of the mob to wipe His blood stained countenance. Her reward is the picture of his suffering face on her veil. Shall cowardice ever again rob our souls of Christ’s image?

to me, to suffer and to die with thee.

Cross laden, thorn-crowned, bleeding – Christ turns to comfort others, to sympathise, to encourage. Tender Shepherd of our souls, help us so to forget ourselves that we may remember the spiritual and temporal needs of others.

Jesus falls beneath the cross, drenching the earth with His Precious Blood. How often have we received the sacred blood of his Divine Life in the Holy Mass, Holy Communion, penance and prayers, and what little fruit has it produced because of our insincerity.

14th  Station: Jesus is laid in the Tomb

(Reflect) Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

O Jesus, who for love of me, didst bear thy cross to Calvary; in thy sweet mercy grant
to me, to suffer and to die with thee.

Let us pray. Eternal Father, as we conclude the Precious Blood Way of the Cross, we offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, the merits love and sufferings of His Sacred Heart, the tears and sorrows of our Immaculate Mother, that we who rejoice in Thy loving care may obtain the grace of Resurrection for ourselves and those who have suffered the horrors of abortion here, at this spot, today. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
