OUR MISSION IS TO LOVE GOD AND SERVE HIM ALONE.

We are the Knights of the Precious Blood,

a group of Roman Catholic laymen dedicated to extending the kingship of Christ on earth. All the good works we undertake are informed by our three core pillars (God, family, homeland)

OUR CORE PILLARS

Core Pillars of the Brotherhood

“Bog, Obitelj i Domovina” (God, Family & Homeland). It is primarily living the virtuous life and brotherhood in each of these pillars that embodies the holiness expected of a Knight of the Precious Blood.

God

To grow deeper in our relationship with God. That we may love, know and serve Him alone. Live and promote Christian way of life in society.

Family

Promote God’s plan for families, promoting family prayer, love of God and strong family relationships. Support the extended Church family (universal) by supporting persecuted Christians around the world.

Homeland

Supporting the most vulnerable in society through spiritual and corporal works of charity. Promote the virtue of patriotism, and the spiritual and prosperous advancement of our homeland

MESSAGE TO KNIGHT’S

Leading the Way to True Chivalry

The charism of the brotherhood is to hold in the highest reverence and gratitude the price of our salvation which was the shedding of our Lord’s Precious Blood for us on the cross. Our response to this greatest sacrifice of love is to love God in return and serve Him alone, through a life of prayer and virtue, with complete personal trust in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary and their protection. All this for the greater glory of God, the church and the triumph of the immaculate heart of Mary. As stated in the Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis “all is vanity save loving God and serving Him alone” (1,24,7).

OUR KNIGHTLY VIRTUES

24 Knightly Virtues

At the heart of chivalry lay the concept of knightly virtues, which formed the foundation of the knightly code. These ideals were not merely abstract concepts but were embodied in the behaviour and actions of knights, who strove to live up to these ideals at all times.

“A knight fears neither demon nor man; neither is he afraid of death since he longs to die.”

Theological Virtues

Faith, Hope and Charity.

Cardinal Virtues

Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance.

Moral Virtues

Brotherly love, Sagacity, Docility, Religion, Godliness, Generosity, Loyalty, Honesty Magnanimity, Valour, Resoluteness, Perseverance, Diligence, Integrity, Meekness, Humility and Chastity.

OUR BROTHERHOOD

Changed Men, Change the World

The aim of knighthood is not the appearance of strength, but the substance of it, which is the soul rightly ordered under the virtues. The life of a good Knight should be distinguished by virtue, being inwardly as one appears outwardly, for He Who sees the heart is God, Whom we should always reverence. As Knights of the Precious Blood, we have chosen 24 virtues to live by and fulfill our duties as soldiers of Christ.

As St Thomas Aquinas would have defined it, “virtue is a good habit of the mind, by which we live righteously, of which no one can make bad use, which God works in us, without us.”
